A: Well i would agree with everyone else on this one. This trade isn't really doing anything for anyone except for Portland. They are the only ones getting two fresh players with contracts that still have more then one year remaining. Wade is an MVP caliber type player and Beasley is going to be a future all-star. My issue with this trade proposal would be this: A: Denver already had Steve Blake before and let him go for a bag of basketballs in return, why would they want him again? B: With Denver giving up Camby for nothing to get under the cap, or attempt to, why would they pick up a lackluster player such as LaFrentz knowing he's overpaid and at the end of his contract. Plus he does not provide any defense close to what Marcus Camby did for them. C: Sergio Rodriguez is a complimentary player but what can he really do along side A.I.? I mean he was a backup in Portland most of the time and now that A.I. is more of a passer plus shooter where does that leave sergio? Who really knows. Besides, A.I.'s contract is ending and they will have to pay like another 70M to keep him there the rest of his career, assuming he stays healthy. D: And most importantly!! Portland is very much passed the "jailblazers era" and the new management are not interested in signing young players with ANY types of moral or flaws in decision making. Although, Beasley gets pointed out a little too much i just don't think they want that risk anymore, been there, done that type thing. Good concept though, i always like to think what would happen if trades like this happened. It's fun. Hope i gave some insight! P.S. I am a Blazers fan.
