A question about Oscar De La Hoya?

Q: If ''The Golden Boy'' had of beaten Trinidad, Mosley,Hopkins and Mayweather then dispatch of Pacquiao as I feel he will would we be talking about him as a alltime p4p? Such as top 10 or top 5?

A: I don't really believe in the P4P category, but if Oscar had beaten all of the guys you mention, he would probably be in the top 10. If he had kayoed a couple of the first four, he would be in the top five. Just beating Hopkins would raise his profile a good bit. There has been some criticism about Oscar's decision to fight Pacquaio ratherr than Margarito, but that's unfair. He is not a reigning champion looking to make a buck before retiring and leaving a couple of top flight challengers sucking wind. Sure Oscar-Manny is a money fight, for BOTH guys. Manny puts his legacy at risk by fighting a much bigger man, which is what Oscar did by fighting Hopkins. Oscar wants to retire after a big win over a smaller guy, which I think he will do. He wants to bow out, nor get knocked out, which is what I think would happen against Margarito. If Oscar had the stamina to fight 12 strong rounds, he would have been a great fighter by any standard. Excluding the Hopkins fight, his losses came in the last four rounds when his tank was running dry. But that's the way it was. He was great for seven or eight rounds and it was all down hill after that.
