Q: remembered thing about them: floyd mayweather,DLH, RJJ, hopkind,Trinidad, Winky, Tarver, Lennox, Bowe, Holyfield, Judah.
A: Good question. In order I would say, Mayweather- Jury is still out, I think he will come back and fight again. But if he doesn't then I feel he will be looked at as a great runner errrr I mean fighter that cashed in while he was hot and retired with a big ''What if he had of fought so and so?'' attached to his name concerning other fighters he didn't meet. De La Hoya- He's the big one on this list. Biggest draw in boxing history, biggest p.p.v.'s ever, fought anyone and everyone, won titles in six divisions. Buuuuut, couldn't win the big one. If he had of beat Trinidad (instead of giving away the final rounds) Mosley, Hopkins and Mayweather we would be talking p4p top 5 all time. But his losses are bigger than his wins. And not winning the big one will always be his Achilles. Roy Jones Jr- even though he suffered losses to Tarver and Johnson will be remembered as one of the top fighters of his era and a dominating unstoppable force in his prime. Also only the second Lightheavy to ever win the Heavyweight title. I will never forget his dominating performance of Toney and his brutal kayo of Hill. Bernard Hopkins- One of the top 3 middleweights of all time. His dominance was incredible and he fought everyone who wanted a shot. And to move up and dominate Tarver for the lightheavy title only showed just how good he was. Trinidad- A feared puncher who dominated the Welterweights. Beat fading but still solid fighters in Whitaker and Camacho. Gave DLH his first loss though it was controversial. Bit off more than he chew with Hopkins and came back for a payday against RJJ. Winky Wright-A fighter nobody wanted to fight, but who also bored u to tears with his style. Beat and lost to some great fighters in his time. Antonio Tarver- A one trick pony who beat RJJ with a shocking kayo but was handled by a 40 year old middleweight in Hopkins. Lennox Lewis- Dominated the Heavyweights much like Holmes did by beating what was available. Awesome power, good jab and hand/footspeed, glass jaw. Suffered 2 crushing 1 shot kayo losses which he avenged. Destroyed a game Morrison, smoked a shot Tyson, drew then dec. a faded Holyfield. Would give any Heavyweight from any era a good fight. Riddick Bowe- Had the potential to be a great, beat Holyfield twice but cowardness (threw the W.B.C. title in the garbage instead of fighting Lewis) and insanity (kidnapping his wife, joining then leaving the Marines) an losing to Golota b4 the ''Foul Pole'' went for the sweatbags....twice! Ruined him. Evander Holyfield- A top ten alltime Heavyweight. Heart of a lion, underrated power, granite chin, stamina, fought anyone who would get in the ring with him. Beat Foreman, dominated Bowe in their second fight, put Bowe down for the first time in his career in their third fight but ran out of gas. Came back to thrash a still fearsome Tyson twice. Kayoed Michael Moorer in their rematch but fought waaaaaaay past when he should have quit. Zab Judah- Good power, suspect chin (Remember Tszyu and Cotto?) and the melee with Mayweather. Had potential to be great but was an also ran. This is my feeling of how these men will be looked at in the future.
