Q: Going for a school trip to the desert for trekking. its quite hot there. we have to bring our own food (and cook it) but water is provided. what would be the best thing to eat? gets cold at night. I have done this walk (but less clicks) before but im looking for more things...
A: I think Dustin means RAMEN soup. And it's easy to COOK. I would recommend instant mashed potatoes for breakfast (lots of carbs for energy), trail foods for lunch and snakcks like beef jerky, trail mix, hard candies, energy bars, energy gels, etc., and cup-o-noodles, ramen soups, dehydrated meals (all sorts of good stuff) for dinners. And of course, some powedered drink mix (like gatorade) to add to your drinking water during the day.
