Q: okay for halloween my mom give me the best idea ever! she said that if i wanted to me and my friends can have a tent and sleep in the back yard(probley 7-8 people including me) anyway i was wondering if you can give me a website or a store that would have everything..i need like a tent that has a big living room and like 2 rooms or 1 (best if 2 since there will be both girls and boys)i was thinking to get inflotable couches and chairs and stuff also a cooler a table and mini chairs for the table also maybe like a mini grill but i think i have one...the store must ship to the united states also i have like 200.00-250.00 (MY MONEY)thanks
A: First, that's a great idea, and you'll have lots of fun. But, before you spend money.... check with your friends to see if any of them has a tent that you can use. Lots of families have tents and maybe they wouldn't mind loaning it out? Lots cheaper, and you can focus on the fun instead of worrying about shopping. If you're set on the tent purchase, check out your neighborhood department store. Walmart, Target, Kmart are great starting points for a jumbo tent like you want. Several on Walmart's site right now in the $85 -100 range. For the inflatable sofa and chairs; in my opinion, a waste of money. I picked up a sofa and chairs as a gag for a family camping trip. All of them developed leaks within a day. The ones I bought were made by Coleman, and I have yet to see any as durable looking as the ones I purchased, but still they leaked. Save the money, tell your friends to bring a lawn chair from home. Much easier. A better investment is to get a back yard fire pit if you don't have one already. That way you can hang out around the fire and roast marshmallows and stay up late talking and stuff. No matter how old you are, ghost stories around the campfire are always fun! Get a good ghost story book! Have fun!
