Q: I'm asking this because my friend's bike is broken and needs to be fixed and upgraded. But he doesn't want the rear suspension. I'm pretty smart on bikes but only at hardtails. Help please. Thanks
A: if you remove the rear suspension (shock or spring) then it must be substituted by a rigid link (maybe a steel or alu beam) otherwise the rear of the bike will not be supported. The length of the substitute support should be circa 90/95% of the length of the extended suspension assy.
