Q: Now its been confirmed that Nicky will ride the Desmosedici GP9 at Valencia on the 27 Oct in a test session. with a full time ride next season and winter testing to come. What do you think would be a fair time for him to post, considering its a totally new machine to him. I took a look at his times at Valencia last year on the Honda. First practice 1:34:226 second practice 1:33:650 third practise 1:34:006 Qualifying (Q-Tyres) 1:31:903 Warm up 1:33:446 Stoner in the warm up did 1:33:051 1. Will Nicky be able to do a 1:33:??? 2. Will he beat his Honda time 1:33.446 3. remember its going to be on the 09 bike I know its to early to get a result but im curious as to what you all think..... A: I realize that alot of you on here think Nicky Forrest Gump Hayden is the best (if it werent for that pesky Rossi). Excuses are constantly made for him, how evil Honda gave him inferior equipment, so he barely won his championship, or how he spent his whole championship season developing next years bike, and when the 212 came out somehow it was designed for Pedrosa even though Hayden tested parts for it all year. Then Honda deliberately caused Hayden to do poorly because they favored Pedrosa. I know if I owned a motorcycle company I'd have my race team deliberately sabotage the racer I liked 2nd best (thats sarcasm). Face some facts here. The factory Honda team is and was the best team to be on period. Yamaha hasn't done much of anything for the last number of years except with Rossi. Aside from Ducati finding Stoner to be a perfect match for their bike, they have been hit and miss, mostly miss. Suzuki, Kawasaki, Roberts, Aprilia do I need to really say anything? Gump has what? 3 wins in how many years of F1 bike racing, on arguably the best team. 2 of them were home wins, the 3rd an Assen race with about everyone else of consequence injured, and hapless Edwards had to fall off on the last corner for him to get it. Yes he can ride a bike fast, but he's not going to set the world on fire. Gump is about a 5th place rider everything else being equal. I was thinking after he finishes around that or worse next year all the raw raw Nicky types will finally shut the F**k up, but I'm sure you'll have plenty of excuses prepared for him yet again.
