A: You pull in the clutch and shift. As far as the gears go if it is a normal dirt bike first gear is down all the way..neutral is up one click and second is up one more..that is usually one movement from first to second skipping neutral. 3'rd is one more click up 4'th is one more click up and then 5'th. You down shift the same way but the other direction. You can hold the clutch in and keep clicking all the way down to first if you want to. most bikes have a neutral light so you can tell if you are in neutral by simply looking down.
