Q: Is it easer for a dog to pull a sled carrying 138lbs on land (like a smooth road) with a cart that has wheels, or is it easer for a dog to pull a sled carrying 138lbs on compacted snow? and the dog is a 60lbs Australian Cattle Dog mix, that is very strong
A: Definitely compacted snow. It offers less resistance, less weight (if you factor in the wheels/housing/etc) and there's less of a chance of tipping or having the wheels lock. The dog mix definitely has me curious, so if you race, be sure to post some pics somewhere! Good luck!
