Q: Why was it played in Widnes and not Wigan?
A: because Wigan Football Club have a game next day and getting the pitch re-marked and posts changed was a tough ask in such a short amount of time. i think its stupid, they lost loads of supporters, only 7000 turned up. they would have made more money playing at the JJB and paying the groundsman to work through the night.
