Q: i just came off a pulled quad and i was feeling good then in warmups for a soccer game i went to take a corner and i felt a little discomfort above the groin but on the ball of the inside of my leg the next kick i felt a large pop and instant pain the next morning i couldnt lift my leg up or move it without severe pain... whats wrong what can i do how long will it take to heal
A: sound like a hipflexor pull or tear! you should put a hot water bottle on it before going to bed, keeps the blood pumping through. if you get down on 1 knee (the leg that is sore) and put the other leg out in front of you at a 90 degree angle to the ground, then lean slightly towards the front leg keeping the knee of the injured leg firmly in place, you should feel a stretch along your hip flexor. hope this helps you and you recover soon.
