How to not throw up after running?

Q: Okay so I'm doing this very intense training routine and I was wondering if there is a way to prevent throwing up or the feeling in general. Any helpful tricks? ocbglac I play lacrosse which is pretty much straight running for an hour while getting trucked by 200 lb people. Guys thanks for the answers but I was wondering if there is anything I can do besides not eating before. I thought I saw something that said you can train yourself to not get the feeling at all. We have a timed two mile so I'm thinkin I'm gonna blow chunks.

A: To not throw up after running, you must make sure you don't eat a lot like the others said...but for some people an hour may not be enough time...usually if i have an early race i dont eat anyhting...and practice I try not to eat until about two hours before...it depends on each person, so just try to give yourself more time...then another thing you must do is control your breathing. I often get bad stomach aches because I do not have enough oxygen, so breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth nice and slow, and take in as much air as possible, and then blow it out. I run cross coutnry and get sick a lot, but I know that when I begin to walk after a mile and a half or so that is what really makes it worse. The best thing to do is run slow and steady, to prevent stomach problems. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!!!:)
