Q: iv started running, every day for 35mins, is this ok? after the 1st day i had sore muscles but now its fine...should i run 7 days a week? and is running the best way to get rid of all rounds body fat? and should i paise myself and and jog for long distances or run faster for 6+ mins at a time and then walk 4 a little and then run again??
A: Okay, you should not be running 7 days a week! Your body needs a day to rest because your muscles need to recover. If you run everyday your muscles are going to start to break down and you are only hurting yourself. You should run 5-6 days a week, and if you choose 5 days don't do your 2 days off in a row, space them out. If you are doing 6 days a week you should pick a day in the week that is a good day for you to rest and then try to be consistent on that. Also if you are thinking about losing weight, the best way is running slower for a longer amount of time. You can run slow enough to be able to have a conversation with someone. The reason you burn more fat this way is because when you are running hard your body needs carbs, but when your running slow it can burn fat. Also if you do the slow long runs you don't have to eat a lot like you might here most runners do, keep a healthy diet and you will lose weight in no time! Another tip is to do some core stregthening workouts to build more muscle because muscle burns more calories then fat so when your resting your body will be burning more fat. I hope I answered your question, sorry if that was too much haha im a runner that cares a lot about my weight so i know a ton on that topic....
