Q: I want to buy a surfboard but don't know what kind to get. I have really small waves (knee high) so i need a board that will accomodate that. I want to be able to turn well so I dn't really want a long board. I can surf but im not all that great. Im not sure if i wanna go with a mini mal, a funboard, or a fish. (I dnt think im ready for a thruster or that the waves will work well for it) . IF you could plz help me i would apreciate it. THX!!
A: THE REAL BOTTOM LINE IS: Go to a Surf Shop, not a computer. I have been surfing since 1966 and I get my surfboard advice at good local shops at the places where I surf. The pros there can give you the right answers!! There is no way anyone could accurately recommend any particular surfboard for you on line. But the folks at the local shop know the local wave conditions, and can match your size and skill level with the right board for local waves.
