Underwater pictures

Q: What suggestions do people have for underwater pictures "on the cheap"? Personal experience of wht to (or not to) do would be helpfull... I'm thinking maybe a ziploc bag that's taped shut would work?... I'm talking like jumping into an 8' swimming pool...not true diving... This isn't a fancy camera, just a WalMart point-and-shoot from high-school I'd be more upset about loosing the $20 2GB SD+USB memory card than the $40 camera if it got wet...not to say I won't be bummed but the memory fits my good camera too... I looked at underwater cameras...there was one on clearence for $20 and the next cheapest was $200. The $20 one uses SDRAM so if it gets dropped and the batteries fall out, all the pics go bye-bye...and it's only 640x480 resolution. The other problem is the cheap camera only holds 26 pictures and you have to download them which means having to dry off and go transfer pics often - no memory card slot.

A: Intova makes a good one that is suitable for your needs. Information on it is in the link
