Q: Im going to be in my High School tennis team and this racquet is currently (to buy) my number one choice, i am an aggressive base liner who likes hitting the ball with power and top spin. And BTW should i get the 100 inch. head-size or the 107 inch? Thanks!
A: Always get the 100 in., I played with the racquet and I loved how much power it gave me. The serves had a lot of pop also yet it lacked too much control. Personally, you shouldn't need this racquet if you already have the power to put into your shots so try getting its distant cousin, the Babolate Aero Pro Drive w/ Cortex. It's basically the exact opposite of the Pure Drive, more control and less power. It's more favorable to baseliners for the ability to pinpoint where you want your shots (takes time but you will get the hang of it). The aerodynamic throat allows you to accelerate your racquet speed and allowing you to generate so much spin (something Pure Drive lacks) in shots and serves. Plus, if you really want so much power put the string tension at 54-56 rather than mine (60). It's weird but true but the lower the string tension the more power it provides. EDIT: I looked up my racquet and I just realized Rafael Nadal uses it. I thought he used the Babolat Aero Storm, but he's the only pro that uses it, no wonder why he makes so much topspin.
