Q: My mom got these tennis rackets a year or two ago. They've always looked old, and of course they haven't gotten any better. I have a hard time hitting the ball with them because they seem hard and brittle. Do the strings need to be replaced? Would it be cheaper just to get a different racket. We don't play for more than just fun, and we got these rackets because they were cheap. So I guess it doesn't even matter that our rackets are bad. But I just wanted to know if they need replacing.
A: well my rule for strings is if there not snapped there still working! But also it depends on how often that you are playing. I play about every day so I just replace the strings when they snap. If you play less often then replace them after a few years.
