Q: 1. I didn't make it because I didn't have skill, I just couldn't serve over the net when he was watching. 2.There were already 9 players from last year that had a guaranteed spot and he needed more 7th graders. 3. He told me I could still practice with them, but I just wouldn't play. 4. I'm already involved in several other sports. I play basketball, softball, tennis, (which takes place the same time as volleyball in middle school) and track and field. 5. I never really wanted to play in the first place. When I didn't try out in 7th grade people kept pestering about it so I told them I'd tryout. I don't really have a devotion to it like I do with my other sports. Should I try and make my high school team or just forget about it? I really need some help here people!!! Pleaaaase!!!
A: If you're not really into the sport, then you shouldn't really continue, especially with all the other extra things you're doing. In high school, you'll have room for only three sports max. I didn't make my middle school volleyball team, and I didn't have a huge passion for the game, but I tried out in high school because I developed a stronger passion, and I made it. But, if you're really into all those other sports, and you really don't enjoy volleyball, then you shouldn't waste your time. It's very time consuming, and in high school, you need all the time you can get. Good luck.
