Johnny Herbert upset about Mattia Binotto leaving Ferrari
Binotto`s place will be taken by Frederic Wasser, who previously led the Alfa Romeo team.
It is very sad that Mattia Binotto is gone. I liked him. He had an understanding of what needed to be done and how.
But, as I wrote in the previous column, the summer break was his chance to work on the team`s problems, and he chose not to. Everything got to the point that it seemed that the strategy was chosen by the engineer and the racer. I heard that by the end of [the season], he and Charles Leclerc weren`t even on speaking terms, ` the former F1 driver wrote for Motor Sport Magazine.
