Warriors forward Draymond Green explained why Warriors` young talents James Wiseman, Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga have not yet lived up to expectations.
Our young guys find themselves in a difficult situation. They don`t talk about this at all. Kuminga was selected seventh overall, Moody fourteenth, and Wiseman second overall. These guys usually end up on teams that are not capable of anything. And young people in such teams can do everything necessary for their own development. But this is not our case. Here people are expected to contribute to a championship-level team from their first or second season.
If you take successful young players in different teams - look at this one, and look at this one - all this can be explained by the fact that the guys play for bad teams. They have the opportunity to make mistakes and draw conclusions, and grow from this. Our guys don`t have this opportunity.
In the long run this will only help our guys, they are already trying to do the right things. But right now it`s hard for them to develop. And the task of us, the veterans of the team, is to do everything necessary to win, thereby making life easier for the young guys, " said Green.
