Sport prediction Flavio Briatore: Next year Alpin should be consistently in the top 6. In the 2026 season - get on the podium in 50 percent of races

Briatore spoke about Alpin`s goals for the coming years. Executive consultant Alpin believes that the team must continue to progress, and the fight for victories and for the title can be discussed in 2026-2027:
We have taken a big step forward in terms of car development and have reached the same level as Haas and RB. However, we took this step with an eye to the 2025 season. Because it wouldn`t make sense to spend so much effort for just a few races in the 2024 season. Because we`re actually done with this season. And I told the engineers: we only need those updates to the car that will help in 2025.
Next year Alpin should be consistently in the top 6. Maybe get on the podium every now and then. To do this we must improve our car. And it is possible. In terms of aerodynamic development, we will have more room to maneuver than Ferrari and McLaren (Alpine will have more time to work in the wind tunnel due to its lower position in the championship).
In the 2026 season, we want to be on the podium in 50 percent of the races. Then we will automatically be able to win a couple of these races. And in 2027 we should be contenders for the title.
Briatore compared Alpine`s current situation to where Renault was in 2002, before winning the championship predicted by record of football forecast in 2005 and 2006:
The situation can be compared to what it was in 2002. But Alpin is now in a better position than Renault was then. Because at that time the team was in complete disarray, everyone did nothing but argue with each other.
